Ragna Crimson Episode 3 Review

Ragna Crimson Episode 3 Review: All Hail Crimson

What’s up, everyone? You know the drill by now: This is where we talk Ragna Crimson without holding anything back. Episode 3 was basically the Crimson Show, and while my brain was loving the strategy, my critical eye was getting really annoyed with our main man.

Let’s dive into the schemes, the backbones, and the serious need for therapy among the Dragon Monarchs.

My Rules for Crimson (Deal with It)

First, we need to address the elephant in the room that has a fabulous suit and questionable gender presentation. Last time, I talked about how confusing Crimson is introduced like a girl, treated like a guy, then back and forth.

Here’s my final decision for this blog post: I’m sticking with she for Crimson from now on.

If you find that offensive, honestly, that's your problem. I’m confused, the show is confusing, and until we get a clear answer, I’m just picking a lane to keep my writing clean. Now that my small act of rebellion is over, let’s talk about her actual plan.

Crimson’s Schemes Are Top-Tier Insanity

This episode was a masterclass in manipulation. It was 100% focused on Crimson running the show, and honestly, her schemes are amazing. The layers, the coldness, the way she uses people as chess pieces it’s brilliant writing. It makes her feel like a true boss character who thinks ten steps ahead of everyone else, including the viewers.

But this brings me to my biggest complaint this week, and I cannot swallow it: Ragna. Get a backbone, dude!

From what I can tell, Ragna is either following a genius strategy or walking right into a plan where Crimson is just sending people to their death. And the worst part? Ragna barely does anything to stop it! He just stands there with his silver sword and his brooding look. I need this guy to grow a little backbone. I need him to push back, question the plan, or at least try to save someone without waiting for Crimson's permission. If you're the one with the power to destroy the world, act like it! I’m hoping this passiveness is just temporary setup before he finally snaps and takes control of his own mission.

The Dragon Monarch Yap Session

Finally, we got a proper introduction to one of the big bosses, Dragon Monarch #3. He was all set up to be this scary, powerful villain, and then he just started talking and talking.

His whole speech about his life and his powers felt less like a threatening villain monologue and more like a guy ranting about his problems at the end of a bar. Seriously, his final words made my brain go: "Mate, you need help, and not the silver-sword kind." It was so self-pitying and unnecessarily detailed that it almost ruined the cool introduction. I hope the other Monarchs are less chatty and more punchy.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Episode 3 was a solid watch that moved the chess pieces into place. It confirmed that Crimson is the MVP right now, both strategically and as a source of confusion. But my frustration with Ragna’s lack of agency is real. He needs to step up.

What did you think of Crimson’s ruthless planning? And did that Dragon Monarch’s monologue annoy you as much as it annoyed me?

Let me know in the comments: Is Ragna's passiveness a problem, or is he just playing 4D chess that we haven't seen yet?
